Furniture Collection
If you have any unwanted items of furniture get in touch with your local unit about free collection.
Email us or message the appropriate Facebook page with an image of what you want to donate and they will fit you in to the diary.
How to donate
We provide a free collection service for all large furniture donations made to us within the local areas of Monmouthshire, Forest of Dean, Swindon and Torfaen. To help us get you booked in as quickly as possible, send an email to the team or give us a call. Alternatively, you can message us through our Facebook Pages. Please include the following information:
- Address (and any information that could help our drivers)
- Contact number
- Number of items you wish to donate
- Photos of the items
Photos of items will really help us to give you a quick answer on whether we are able to accept them or not. Our drivers will also check over the items for any damage before loading into the vans. If you have any questions regarding collections, then please don't hesitate to contact us.
What to donate
You can donate many items to us at any of our locations, including furniture and larger items, but also smaller items and children's items such as:
- Children's clothes
- Toys and stuffed animals
- Decorative items, frames, bric-a-brac
- Rugs, carpets, curtains and pillows
- Electrical items like lamps, TVs, game consoles
- Jigsaws and board games
- Craft items like wool, fabric and sewing machines
Requirements for donating sofas, armchairs, mattresses, or divan beds:
They must have a fire safety label, as seen in the photo, these are typically found behind the cushions of your sofa. We cannot accept any items that do not have this label.
Wooden items such as wardrobes, chests of drawers and tables can be accepted with a small amount of damage as our volunteers will enjoy fixing them.
Items we CANNOT accept
Items we cannot accept include (but are not limited to):
- Gas appliances
- Electricals that need repair
- Mattresses with any stains
- Large back TVs
- Videos
- Some styles of large display cabinet
- Some TV units
- Car seats
